Flashpoint #3
When last we left Barry Allen, trapped in a world so different from what he knew, he was trying to convince Dr. Thomas Wayne that this world is not what it should be and that in reality he and his wife should have been killed instead of young Bruce, who would then grow up to be Batman. In trying to convince him, as well as to be able to help change things, he tried to recreate the accident that gave him his powers with the use of a lightning rod attached to an electric chair.
It turned out about as well as you'd expect in the real world.
As this issue starts, Barry, being a completely rational and intelligent man, says that they need to try it again.
So they do, and this time it causes an explosion that knocks Batman off the roof.

If at first you don't succeed, keep getting yourself electrocuted until it works, right?
So Barry saves Thomas and makes hisself a new costume out of materials around the mansion. Now they work on recreating(though it's never referred to by name), the Justice League. Barry starts looking up friends to recruit.

Yes, that is a standard out-of-the-box PC. Thomas' Batcave has no Batcomputer.

That's Subject 1. There was another subject in the previous page, but I chose not to use that page as... that subject won't be joining the fight. I'll say no more about it.
They break him out, he says one word upon seeing the outside world for the first time, and flies off. We're left with the half-a-Justice-League seemingly at the mercy of General Lane's Project Superman troops and a tease that the next issue will deal with S!H!A!Z!A!M!
Say what you will about Geoff Johns, but I'm enjoying Flashpoint.
